WTS Annual Conference- Call for Posters

WTS International invites you to submit an abstract for the 2021 Annual Conference scheduled to be hosted in Richmond, Virginia on May 12-14th. The event will bring together transportation professionals to explore "Our Future In Transportation".

Virginia has been part of our nation’s history since the Jamestown settlement in 1607.  It embodies the present – alive with vibrant festivals, cutting-edge cuisine, and unparalleled natural beauty.  Virginia also leads the way into the future with investments in the workforce of tomorrow and innovations in technology that are transforming the transportation industry.  In Richmond, you will find a vibrant and active transportation system that will help you enjoy all the city has to offer. We take active transportation seriously, from our scenic Capital Trail to our downtown James River rapids. Whether you arrive by highway, air, or train, you will be able to explore Richmond by any mode you choose, including our state-of-the-art Bus Rapid Transit service The Pulse. Together, we will activate – and elevate – your future in transportation!

Consider sharing your specialized transportation knowledge, insights, and experiences at the 2021 WTS Annual Conference! The conference is currently under evaluation and may be held virtually due to the pandemic. Updates will be provided as available.

A poster gallery highlighting projects, facilities, research and experiences that align with the Conference theme will be on display for attendees to view throughout the course of the conference.

If selected to present your poster, you will need to register for the conference and be on-sight with your poster at the designated times. Authors will be expected to share insight about their poster during the Mix N’ Mingle Reception on Thursday evening and during Coffee Breaks throughout the conference. This is an opportunity to engage with others in conversation about your poster. The poster session is intended to be casual and conversational; there will be no formal presentations.

WTS International will provide a vendor to print and deliver posters to the Conference venue. You will be responsible for designing, proofing and paying for the printing and foam core mounting of your poster. If the WTS Annual Conference moves to virtual, you will not need to print any materials but you will be asked to be available during specific times to answer questions on your poster from attendees.

Poster session selection notifications will be sent to the point of contact in February 2021. Participation confirmation will be required within 10 business days of the selection notification date. Note that this submission is only for a poster presentation. More details will be provided to selected participants.

Thank you in advance for your valued participation! Please complete and submit this application by January 22, 2021 using this form.
